Deubai Patil was an Agri woman who could not bear a child, she build the temple wishing that Lord Ganesh would grant children to infertile women. Hence it came to be famous as Icchapurti Shree Siddhivinayak Ganpati Temple. The term Siddhivinakay means one who grants wishes, desires, or special talents, and since it became famous for granting wishes many believers frequented it as their heart’s desire to be fulfilled by everybody’s favorite Ganpati Bappa. The Siddhivinayak Ganpati Mandir is crowded on Tuesdays, and weekends more than usual, and on the special occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, Sankasthi, and Anagarika people gather in large numbers to obtain Bappa’s Ashirvad.
